Roblox DevEx Calculator
Type your Earned Robux to see about how many US dollars you get.
1. How many Earned Robux?
2. Pick a rate
You need at least 30,000 Earned Robux to cash out. Robux you bought does not count. This is only an estimate.
What DevEx is, in plain words
DevEx is how Roblox pays you real money for Robux you earned from your game or items. You ask to cash out in Creator Hub. Roblox checks where the Robux came from, then sends USD through their payment partner.
You cannot cash out Robux you bought with a card, got from Premium, or received in a trade. Only Earned Robux counts.
Two cuts happen in order. First Roblox takes a fee when a player buys (use the tax calculator). Then DevEx turns what’s left into dollars. A 1,000 Robux pass gives you 700 Earned Robux. 700 × $0.0038 is about $2.66, not $3.80.
You need 30,000 Earned Robux to cash out. At the new rate that is $114, before bank fees and tax. Bought Robux does not count.
What you can cash out
| Can cash out | Cannot cash out |
|---|---|
| Game passes, developer products, subscriptions in your game | Robux bought from Roblox or a gift card |
| Paid access and private servers on your game | Premium monthly stipend |
| Creator Store sales you actually made (plugins, models) | Trading or reselling limiteds |
| Avatar item sales Roblox counts as yours | Transfers between accounts |
| Creator Rewards that land as Earned Robux | Empty template “games” with no real visits |
| Group payouts from real sales that pass review | Money from banned or rule-breaking content |
The number on your DevEx screen can be a few days behind your sales. Roblox can still say no to a source that looked fine in the app.
Which Robux cash out first
You may have Robux from different times, with different dollar rates. Roblox does not mix them into one average. It pays them in this order.
1. US 18+ Robux go first
This bucket pays the most: $0.0054. It only covers eligible spend from age-checked 18+ US players in games that qualify. Avatar items sold inside a game usually do not get this rate.
2. Old Robux go next
Robux earned before 5 September 2025, 10:00 AM PT cash out at $0.0035. If you still have 30,000 of those, your first cash-out is $105, not $114, even if you also have newer Robux.
3. New Robux go last
Newer Earned Robux convert at $0.0038. If you still have old Robux left, they will use up this month’s cash-out before the new rate starts.
How a cash-out works
You need at least 30,000 Earned Robux, a verified email, to be 13 or older, a DevEx account, and a tax form (W-9 in the US, W-8 outside). Follow Roblox rules. You can finish one cash-out per calendar month, so send a larger amount instead of many small ones.
In Creator Hub, open Finances, then Cash Out. Use your legal name. A nickname will not match tax records. Your Robux leave the account while Roblox checks the request. The first time, you get an email from Tipalti. You have about a week to add payout details and tax info. Miss that window and the request can cancel, the Robux come back, and you wait until next month.
A first request often takes about ten business days. Later ones are often about five. Weekends and holidays do not count. After Roblox sends the money, your bank still takes its own time. This page does not subtract bank fees or tax. Add those yourself if you need the money by a certain date.
Example payouts
First cash-out at 30,000
A small game finally hits the minimum with a 99 Robux speed pass. At the new rate the cash-out is $114 before bank fees and tax. That is not a salary. It is proof the loop works: ship, sell, convert legally. If 30,000 of that balance is still old-rate Robux, the same request is $105.
A game earning 500,000 a month
Horror game, 799 private-server pass, busy weekends. You still only finish one DevEx a month, so the question is how much of that 500k you actually send. At the new rate the full amount is $1,900 before Tipalti and tax. Leave some Robux in the group if you still pay helpers in Robux.
US 18+ Robux
If the game qualifies and the Robux came from age-checked 18+ US players on eligible products (passes, developer products, subscriptions, private servers — not avatar items sold in the game), 100,000 in that bucket is $540 versus $380 at the new rate. Do not use $0.0054 on your whole wallet just because some players are US adults.
Old Robux still in your wallet
You earned a lot in 2024, then again after the September 2025 rate change. If you count every Robux at $0.0038, you will overstate the next cash-out until the old Robux are gone. Roblox pays the old bucket first. You cannot pick an average in this calculator.
Player Robux prices are not your payout
Players buy Robux at about $0.0125 each, depending on the pack. That is what a player pays. It is not what you get. You get the leftover Earned Robux after Roblox’s sale fee, then the DevEx rate.
| Step | Typical figure | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Player buys Robux | About $0.0125 / R$ | Retail. Varies by pack and store. |
| Pass sale on a 100 R$ item | You keep 70 R$ | Roblox sale fee. Happens before DevEx. |
| New DevEx rate | $0.0038 / Earned R$ | Official conversion of leftover Earned Robux. |
| Full chain on that 100 R$ pass | About $0.266 to you | 70 × $0.0038, before bank and tax. |
Price your shop against that full chain, not against the Robux purchase page. The tax calculator handles the first cut. This page handles the second.
Words you will see
| Term | What it means here |
|---|---|
| Earned Robux | Creator Robux Roblox may let you cash out after review. |
| Game pass | One-time perk in your game. 30% fee happens first. |
| Developer product | Repeat buy (revives, coins). Same 30% fee. |
| Private server | Paid reserved server. Counts as earnings when it is yours. |
| Tipalti | Where you add tax forms and payout details after Roblox approves. |
| US 18+ rate | $0.0054 for eligible adult US spend in qualifying games. |
Common mistakes
Wrong name on the form. Use the name on your tax records. A Studio display name will bounce. Write Support once. Do not send lots of slightly different spellings.
Thinking your total Robux is Earned. Bought packs, Premium grants, and trades make the top number look bigger. Only the Earned figure on the DevEx page counts.
Missing the first Tipalti email. It is easy to miss. About seven quiet days can send the Robux back and reset the clock.
Using player pack prices. $0.0125 in is not $0.0038 out, and $0.0038 applies after the 30% sale fee. A plan built on store prices overstates USD by a factor of three or more.
Common questions
What is the DevEx rate in 2026?
New rate $0.0038 for Earned Robux from 5 September 2025, 10:00 AM PT onward. Old rate $0.0035 before that. US 18+ $0.0054 on eligible spend from 8 June 2026. Roblox can change these numbers. This page follows Creator Hub as of August 2026.
How much is 100,000 Earned Robux?
$380 at the new rate, $350 at the old rate, $540 at US 18+, before bank fees and tax. Only use $540 if that Robux is actually in the US 18+ bucket.
What is the minimum to request DevEx?
30,000 Earned Robux, not 30,000 of mixed account balance.
Can I DevEx Robux I purchased?
No. Bought Robux, gift cards, Premium grants, and trading proceeds do not count.
How often can I cash out?
One finished request per calendar month. Plan group payouts around that limit.
Why was my deposit lower than this page?
Mixed rates, bank fees, currency conversion, and tax. Roblox explains mixed-rate payouts under DevEx discrepancies. This page multiplies one rate at a time on purpose.
Do group funds count?
They can, if the money came from real sales. Roblox checks group sources. Fraud or rule-breaking can take the funds and your DevEx access.
Is rbxcalc.net an official Roblox tool?
No. It is an independent calculator — see about RBXCalc. Confirm rates and eligibility on Creator Hub before you submit. Roblox makes the approval decision. If a rate here looks stale, contact us.
